Tales of meeting real Fairies

A collection of tales describing real encounters of meeting fairieswhat a real fairy very much looks like

Is it a Fairy or is it a Faerie?

My first encounter with a fairy was just off the local popular bridal way near where I used to live in County Durham between Rolands Gill and Medomsley. I had a period when I would jog about a mile or so up the track in an attempt to get fit. Often however, I never made the mile as I would either be dragged into the wood by some fun nature spirits wanting to play or by Herne to be led to some interesting energy areas. On one such occasion I was led through the undergrowth until I emerged by a stream. There was a small overhanging tree on the other side which seemed to have some sort of being sitting in its central branches about two meters from the ground.

How big are fairies and do they carry wands?

As I got closer it resolved into a white creature holding a long stick type thing which actually twinkled at one end – sorry but I just could not handle that this could be a magic wand. What really confused me was that it seemed quite big (about two feet tall (60cm)) and seemed eh! somewhat overweight. As I believed that fairys were very small – say no more than six inches tall (15cm) and slim this encounter caused me slight confusion. As did the fact that it actually seemed to have some sort of magic wand. Communication went something along the lines of;

‘Are you a fairy?’ – ‘Yes I’m a fairy’ – ‘Eh!! – Are you sure?’ – ‘YES‘ ‘Aren’t you eh!! . . . too eh . . . big? . . for a fairy? . . . ‘ – ‘!$$??£‘ ‘ . . . and is that a magic wand? . . . . . ‘

I don’t think she was impressed with this exchange; she went a little sulky. So, a fat over sized fairy stretched my boundaries about fairies. She seemed to be lonely and wanted to keep to herself. I never asked if she could cast spells with her wand.

Confusing encounters with fairies continue

So, that was my first encounter a mite confusing and this unfortunately continued with the next encounter too . . . . So, while at Bellingham in Northumberland on another walk I spotted a figure sitting in a similar looking tree (they do seem to have a preference for a tree that has an open branched area part way up to ‘lounge’ in). However as this Being was about four feet tall and male and wearing green (green!!) it was very definitely not impressed with my chat (Well I some how thought that faerys were only female and green was for pixies?).

‘Hey – are you a fairy?’ – ‘Yes’ ‘Well how come your wearing green like a pixie?’ – ‘!$$??£‘ ‘Hey . . . . Eh!! . . . are you male?’ ‘I thought fairies were only female?’ . . . . . . . ‘NO!!! – I AM A MALE FAIRY

Female and Male fae sightings

I could just imagine him thinking – don’t humans know anything – what is this guy on? At a certain point during my encounters I realized that what I was seeing, was only what they wanted me to see with respect to my understanding. I realized that different people would see the same Being differently and that what they saw would be representative of their own background, understanding and expectations.

So, with this in mind the next time that I was out in the woods and felt the presence of a fairy it was my wish to see this being as itpicture of an etheric fairy - more what they really look like actually was rather than how it chose to presented itself to me. This was somewhere north of Rothbury outside a small place called Callaly if I recall correctly.

Seeing a Fairy as she REALLY is

The result was that I saw a large amorphous white cloud over a group of trees, this cloud is in reality what a fairy really is to a fairy – an intelligent energy form. As I tuned into a this cloud it coalesced and flowed down becoming more concentrated and eventually presented itself in front of me in the form of the fairy-tale fairy (much like the picture on the right). She was very beautiful and was quite amused with our encounter. I felt privileged to be in her presence, to see her as she really was and then to see her as she chooses to be recognized. It seems like my wish came true.

When you are accessing other realms to see or sense whatever is presented to you, there is always some feedback system at work. The beings you are accessing may have some ability to control their presentation; nature spirits do this.

For example the main nature spirit energy form Pan I have seen in two different forms and in one of he has so far presented himself between 2 meters tall and 30 meters.

The other factor is yourself, your past experiences and your engrained beliefs and ideas, these will ‘warp’ the interpretation of what you are presented with too.

What do fairies really look like

Well it follows from the above that it’s going to be very hard to be definitive. I have tried with the pictures above to edit and ‘play’ with them to more accurately depict the underlying energies. Some pictures that I really like because they present much more of the ‘flavour or taste’ of this realm follow;

Who believes in the fae and do they really exist?

There is a an attitude amongst dimensionally challenged scientists that people will simply ‘imagine’ or ‘create’ in their minds what they believe. This is a fairly obvious assumption from a group of people whose training in part is about staying distanced from personal experience, feeling, imagination and even intuition while striving to be ‘logical’ and ‘rational’ and ‘observant’.

This attitude and orientation actually prevents people from properly and deeply engaging with their own internal processes, feelings and landscape. If you fully engage with your internal states; your feeling states, mind states and processes, intuition, imagination, senses, dream states and spend time consciously in them then you will become familiar enough from repeated experiential ‘experience’ with your own internal workings to know their boundaries and limits and therefore have no problem telling the inner internal from the inner external (like I do).

I am sensitive enough to my feelings and emotions for example to know the differences between feelings arising spontaneously in this moment or whether they are ‘reactive’ feelings being provoked in response to a past trauma or block. I even know the subtle differences that tell me that a feeling originates not in this life’s but in a past life.

The above exchange with fairies confirms that what I ‘believed’ or more accurately what I knew about fairies did not result in my internal memory or ‘belief’ states confirming this.

What is belief? When is a belief a ‘belief’?

I have trouble with the ‘B’ word, in terms of how people define what is a ‘belief’. You could say that belief exists when ‘repeated’ experience is lacking. Repeated experience of seeing nature spirits, fairies for example takes a person out of the realm of belief and into something else.

In this respect I ‘believe’ in Centaur’s, because I myself have not seen one BUT I have heard of others whom have.

For me it’s highly likely that just about EVERYTHING that has been consigned to ‘myth’ or ‘legend’ relates to peoples experiences of getting in touch with other dimensional realities that are somehow intersecting with this one in other times when a ‘stupid & superstitious’ rationality was less prevalent. As a species, humans are progressively disengaging from ‘feelings’ and subtle sensory states while barricading ourselves into a severely limited mind.

From the above I have to be adamant that I ‘DON’T’ believe in fairies, in the same way as I don’t have to ‘believe’ in the seat I’m sitting on now for me to sit on it. I have interacted with ‘fairies’ for quite a long time. Quite simply these ‘people’ exist, and they are some what much more friendly than many ‘rational’ types even when you bother them with stupid questions.

What to do NOW?

Some people coming here want to get in touch with Fairies themselves. I have a page HERE to help YOU connect with and encounter fairies or any nature spirits, so go there and read this and on that page is a link to another page to help you become more aware of these beings too.

Anyone want to make a fairy house? Then have a look at this page HERE. (this will open this site in a new window so you can still read what is here). On this fairy house page below the picture there is a link called ‘rules’ which takes you to a page of rules on making a fairy house. Also on the first page on the right click on the picture below where it says “How to build your own Fair House” for details of doing this or click HERE to get this page to open in a new window too. Have fun.

What is your ‘experience’?

In the mean time how many of you reading this have interesting tales of your own? Have you seen a fairy or another nature spirit type?If you have then tell us about it below! Don’t be shy?

What do YOU have to SAY about what I write here?

What are your experiences? Can you relate to what is written here? We would appreciate you share your experiences because staying quite only reinforces the impression that such encounters are rare (I suspect they are not). So, don't be shy . . . . .

check out the MD Exercises at the top and have a ‘play’?

      • Darlene says:

Are you serious? Fairies do exist? I have always been intrigued by butterflies and fairies I would save butterflies when very small placing them on flowers to be safe always the love my house is decorated in butterflies and fairies. I guess my mother knew that I would love them she was Irish she named me Darlene Fay (darling fairy) Too funny! My friends say she knew I would grow up and look like tinker belle which is kind of amusing because I actually do. But it’s all good.

i believe in faires but my mom says that it is not realy but one day i want go out side and see a faire

        • Lisa says:

Darlene, I wouldnt be surprised if you might actually have been a faery at one time before being born human- and it was no cooincidence that your mother (not realizing) called you that. I know it sounds hokey but I’ve been reading alot about other Beings like the Fae who have chosen to be born human at this time to help restore this planet. you just never know!

    • amy says:

hi shane I am like you I have always dreamed of seeing a fairy and I believe with all my heart that fairys truly exsisted

      • May fae says:

I have also dreamed and wished all day and night, anyway is there such thing as the second sight? i heard it in a book

    Hi again;
I live on a Tropical island in the Caribbean and I can recall stories, during my childhood, of hunters or even villagers seeing strange faun creatures or small “people” playing at the river banks etc.. These stories were extremly common.
Now 25 odd years later, these experiences are extremly rare and in my opinion non-existent… Is it that these beings have disappeared or have we lost the ability to discern them?
I must add that 25 years ago, villages were much more under-developed, streetlights were less common, children and families were alot more communal.
I look forward to your response.

    • Clive says:

Have a look back though the ‘fairy’ comments someone else left a comment that lived on an island and was saying similar things to yourself. Bottom line we are moving away from perceptual and sensory sensitivity and getting stuck in our head / thinking so called rational stances. I’e. less aware and further away from ourselves. (Just above on the left is a link ‘Older Comments’)

      • shane says:

Thanks alot…. Are you saying that these creatures are still there like they always were and it’s jus that we aren’t able to perceive them? Do these creatures live and die like we do and are they restricted to jus natural environments? Sorry for all the questions but I’m extremly curious on the matter.
        Thanks

        • Clive says:

They exist in other dimensions (not really this physical reality). Most nature spirit types will only be found in well looked after / preserved natural areas.

      • annieC says:

HI.I found this website as I am researching fairies for a story I am writing. I would like to know if Fairies are only caucaisian or are they other ethnicities as well? Or is this an issuse of what a person believes? I belive, and kow, that all tings ae possible. I have encounteres Angels and spirit guides. Do they appear ae we expect them to? Or are they pure energy and light? Maybe this is a question for you?

      • Ashley says:

Okay Clive. First of all, you are one of those people who choose to keep their lid closed. Because of this you will never ever be exposed to anything spiritual or worth believing in.. let me guess.. you don’t believe in aliens either? That’s just a figment of our imagination? Dude u r most definately ignorant to the world around with no doubt.

        • Clive says:

. . . first of all are you commenting on the right site Ashley? On the one hand I have people irate with me for presenting my wide ranging experiences, including ‘alien’ encounters and a first class spiritual awakening experience while on the other hand I’m now getting the likes of yourself telling me my experiences are not open or wide ranging enough. How Bizarre . . . so I’ll reiterate what I’ve said elsewhere I DON’T NEED TO BELIEVE in anything I present here because it’s part of my day to day experience in the same way I don’t believe in the existence of ‘chairs’ because they are always part of my reality. People who have no or ‘vague’ experiences of fairies or elves or aliens have to resort to BELIEVING in these or not . . . I DON’T

    • Dear Shane,
I’d love to know more about the strange faun creatures or small ‘people’ you’ mention. Do you have any sense of what these beings did?
Do you know anyone who has had an experience?
I’m interested because I grew up with a strong fairy culture in the North of England – it seems to be present wherever, there’s a strong connection with nature.

      Best Maggie

      • shane says:

Hi Maggie; It’s been ages since I’ve heard anyone mention any of these creatures, however as a child I can recall farmers and hunters speaking of small people playing at the river banks at night and making strange sounds..People would refer to them a “dwens” and were generally beleived to be evil; I’m not sure why though. It was claimed that these “dwens” were the souls of unsaved children who were left to wonder the earth.
In Addition many hunters would claim seeing a half man – half goat in deeply forested areas and was believed to be a protector. He was referd to as “papa Bois”. I must admit; alot of the people who shared these experiences with me have now deceased, alot of it still remains though sort of like and oral tradition.
In the cities and towns most children have no knowledge of these creatures or any of the “folklore”, however some of it still remains in the extremly rural communities.
It really saddens me that alot of people have lost their connection to nature and as a result are more empty and depressed than ever before. I hope I’ve been helpful
        Shane…

        • Maggie says:

Dear Shane, Sorry to take so long to reply – when I was growing up in the North of England in the fifties people talked all the time about fairy encounters – because they lived much closer to the earth. It is sad this is changing. Thanks so much for telling us more.

          • shane says:

            Dear Maggie;
it was certainly no problem. We’ve lost so much of the magic that once surrounded us and this really saddens me…Glad to no someone else feels the same.
            Shane

    • elba beolchi says:

Shane ,I think children can easely see them.
I don’t think they are evolving like us, but entities living in nature, that according to some people they help nature as well. I believe that the way we see this creatures is according to our culture. When I was a child I was fascinated with fairies, gnomes stories.
      Unfortunately I never see one.

      • shane says:

Thanks Elba,,,,But I sometimes wonder with all the destruction of our natural spaces taking place; is there anywhere else for these creatures to live?
As a child it really did feel alot easier to feel and believe…..

June 26 or 27 . I visit my aunts father in lenoir for the first time in my 21yrs of existance n went to her husbands moms place and in the back yard I was walking to our car me being the front passenger walked to my side n notice a little white object flying pass my face I stop n my hand extended without me knowing n she landed in my hand .! A dress like feathers , all white n no more than an inch n a half laying looking up at me not like a person but with peson like qualities, there was no distinctive facial features just a human persona .I lifted my hand upward n it flew off n that was my first ever encounter with a fairy (make a wish)

    • Rashaun,
What a great experience. What kind of being was this fairy like do you think? Playful? Wanting to make contact? How did you feel after you’d seen her? Some people talk of fairies radiating with light – was this your experience?

Thanks for telling us about this. I’m interested because where I grew up as a little girl the old people talked about fairies all the time – not as make believe but as real beings. Tks Maggie Australia

    Hi

I love the way you said the faerie seemed overweight! People have preconceived ideas of faeries being tiny with wings.

The Victorians created some beautiful illustrations of faeries with wings, literature like J.M. Barrie’s Tinkerbell and the hoax Cottingley Faeries have fixed images in people’s minds.

However, like angels, they may manifest in an expected form.

To see some real nature spirit photos please visit: http://www.fairytastic.co.uk.

Blessings and love and light, Samantha

I’m just wondering can anyone see fairies? I’ve read many beautiful storiers here and really envy those who have fairies as their friends. I’ve been to the woods many times without seeing one.

  10. PERCY says:

If I had an experience with something or someone, the word beleive would not come into play, the word KNOW is the one I would use. The word beleive is a word you may use on the basis of “faith”, but KNOWING is a whole different matter. I would like to say at this point in my life, that I beleive in many things (like faeries) because I have not had an encounter with them yet, but I beleive they exist; but someday, I will transition from beleiving into KNOWING….

    • Ryan says:

Hi Percy! I like what you say, because when I was a freshman in highschool(now 32), I never thought fairies at all. I believed little people existed as my father told me a story when he lived on a ranch and was woken up with a small man smaller then 2 feet tall sitting on his bed looking at him. My father thought he was dreaming and then when he realized he wasn’t he started to yell for his mother. The little guy, told him if he continued yelling he would have to go, but my father was so afraid he kept on yelling. My father when he told me the story even mimicked the little mans voice. Well my Grandmother ran into his room and when my father looked up then back at the place the little man was…. he was gone. My father has a masters degree and is a very practical person. That is the only thing he has ever told me that he is shy about. He said it really happened, but he doesn’t like to talk about it, because people think he is crazy.

Well back to when I was in highschool. My friends were drinking alcohol and I was having fun making them do yoga poses while they were drunk. I even got them to sit down and meditate with me for 5 mins. It was about 7:00 pm and the sun was going down. We went out into the street in front of our house to continue to do poses. Then I noticed it!!

There was this small extremely fast moving orange/yellow light moving around us, zig and zagging between us. In fact when I saw it I realized how easy it was to miss it. All of a sudden the little light moved quickly to the left, and my eyes followed it. Then it moved quickly to the right and my eyes followed it again. It kinda did this bob, and then rapidly flew down the street, leaving behind it a long trail of gold/orange light. The tail was about 10-12 feet long. It traveled about 5 houses distance, and then made a left turn about 6 feet off the ground. It was easily going 20-25 mph. When it made the left turn it left a bending streak of light, then it was gone.

I haven’t thought much of it, but recently I have been thinking more and more about it. This was the only time in my life where I have physically seen something that defies all that we humans believe to be true around us. This being of light did exist. It showed intelligence when it thought I had spotted it, and it reacted by fleeing once it knew it had been found out. I believe it was playing with us without us knowing.
My friends did not see it, but KNOWING and seeing… is such a leap from believing.
Was it a fairy? A pixie? I don’t know… but the irony is that when I think of Tinkerbell from Disney I wonder if the person who worked on her had seen a fairy or being of this type. It was so small, smaller then my finger tip, yet once I was able to focus on it, it was bright like a laser pointer. Imagine moving a laser pointer from right to left quickly… that is how fast your eyes need to move to follow it, at least what I saw. If you look away, or are not paying attention you will miss it, because it was simply to quick to focus on. I haven’t heard of anyone else experiencing or describing what I saw anywhere… perhaps someone will say something if they have heard of this before. This happened in a residential area, in Placentia California off of Larkspur Drive, in the middle of the length of the street. You could google it and see what the street looks like. LOL Anyways! Thats my story.

I have been fortunate enough to have been visited by a fairy. She was only about three inches tall, and was wearing a green dress. I was exhausted at the time of our encounter. She was almost touching my nose, very beautiful and she sprinkled green fairy dust on me.

  16. AM says:

When I was 9 months pregnant with my son I was wakening from a late nap and as I sat up in bed I saw what looked like a purple translucent butterfly with a smiling face of a girl fluttering around the bed sheets right in front of me where my hands lay. I just sat there in amazement trying to figure out what I was seeing and then it just disappeared. I then got up out of bed and told my husband about it but then he wanted to know why I didn’t try to catch it, which made me mad. This was two years ago and I haven’t a clue to what I saw. It might be a fairy or something taking a form of a butterfly with a face? It’s just another mystery to this world.

    • Lisa A. says:

AM, sounds like you saw a faery taking the form of a butterfly. I’m glad you showed respect to her and didnt try to catch her.

  17. Samantha says:

    hi there.
i am very curious about faeries. Iv been asking the question ‘do hey exist’ for many years. I myself have never had the privledge to see one but my father has. He told me the story of how he saw a misty looking thing moving very fast past him nd then revealing itself to him. I cannot remember all the details but I believed him because he was not the kind of person who believed in things like mythical creatures. So coming from him it was amazing. He was shocked and overwhelmed from this experience. I would love to see one. how is this possible for me?

  18. i just asked because today i saw tinker bell…………….

  19. Kwa'Neisha says:

This is great. I remember talking to plants when I was a child but was later told that I was talking to faries. I am trying to reconnect with that part of me and your writting of your experiences inspired me that it is possible.

  20. Johan says:

Wow, so many people “believe” in fairies or have had an encounter with them. I don’t know if I have but back in 2001, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, I was walking home at night and the neighborhood was one that had a lot of trees, which made streets look beautiful. I remember feeling down that night and I was talking to God and after I had finished I took a deep breath in and just started staring at the sky. I remember the sky being beautiful with lots of stars and all of a sudden I saw this light right below the trees, almost halo type of light. When I saw it, I started walking fast to follow it and it was starting to go up the trees and over, then I lost sight of it. I was amazed from what I saw that I told my mom the moment I got home. I don’t know if it was a fairy or an angel, but the light was bright. It was amazing.

OMG to ta ll y I BELEIVE I DO I SO TOTALLY TRULY DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. Ankou says:

faeries are my last hope, if i believe in anything it is them , so i just wish that they are real, my mom says that they arent and it breaks my hearrt that she has to be negative saying that they are makebelieve and stupid, are there any true ways in meeting a faerie? how can you befriend them?

    • Lisa says:

Ankou, I found out on 5/31/08–when I was 45 years young that faeries are definitely real. I prayed that God would allow me to meet one some day- if they existed, and then one month later I had a face to face encounter with one of these Beings.

There are many many kinds of them. The one I encountered I am thinking may have been a Pixie– because she did resemble the pixie paintings that artist Brian Froud paints. She had soft light cocoa brown skin, dark almond shaped wide set eyes with no irises as human eyes. High brow bones and high cheekbones, a delicate nose and mouth. She was very regal looking and calm/peaceful.

After me staring at her in shock for a minute, she did realize I could see her and she looked a bit uncomfortable and dissapeared. I will never forget this encounter and it didnt occur when I expected it to- in fact, all through my childhood I never saw any of these Beings and I live in a rural Country area too.

I have seen flying pink sparkly lights though- but I brushed it off as some strange odd atmospheric anomoly.

Don’t listen to anything anyone advizes you about if they exist or not– Our teachers, pastors and loved ones mean well but they don’t have all the answers all the time.

I actually had to ask God for the truth on these Beings and was very shocked when He showed me what I didnt expect. I’ts not something I can really share with everyone either, even to this day- but it’s something I will treasure in my heart always- and it has made me really love and value Nature, and our Earth far more than ever since then because I know the Faery are here. I want them to feel welcome here and have places they can always enjoy on this Earth in spite of the humankind.

  23. Jessie says:

I am writing a series. I have fairies in my book that I am writing. If fairies lived in the United States where exactly would they life? What do you think?

    • Lisa says:

Faeries are all over this planet, Jessie.

There are some that will always prefer the wild places still remaining on Earth (thank God for those areas)

There are also some that will tolerate suburban areas and will make themselves comfortable in people’s homes and gardens if the area is harmonious and neat.

      hope that helps some!

  24. mardi says:

When i was a teenager, we had the front door of our house open because it was a hot day and i remember looking out the window and seeing a white Cloud float past and go inside the door! Could this of been a nature spirit?

  25. Ann-Marie says:

I had a similar experience. About 4 years ago while watching TV with my husband I suddenly couldn’t see clearly and started rubbing my eyes thinking something was in them. When I looked back at the TV I could see a gray cloud/mist hovering in front of it. At the very moment that I realized it was something floating in the air I saw it hit me and dispersed thoughout my body. It made a ring sound as if I was hit with a magic wand. It scared the daylights out of me. My husband who sat next to me saw nothing. That night I couldn’t sleep, I felt as though something was inside of me. As the days pasted I eventually felt better. I don’t know what it was or why it entered me. It’s just another strange experience I can’t explain.

  26. J.Frog says:

i’ve been traning my third eye lately and i have been seeing whisp of grey energies everywere. now i don’t think they are fairies but i do think they are some sort of intelligent life force. what do you think?

here is an example: one day i was thirsty so i open my cubord and out shot a smoke of grey energy. like if it was trapped in there or was just bored hiding in a cup (or it could of be afraid for it’s life becuse it thought i might swallow it while i whent to get a cup of water) but anyways i have been seeing these whisps of energies all over the place. it’s like they are here one moment then gone the next, what gives?

I suppose there could be several interpretations for what you witnessed. One could be that it was a spirit, or “ghost.” This concentration of energy could be a soul or soul fragment of someone who has passed on, is currently asleep (that their mind is traveling aimlessly instead of or while they are dreaming), or is journeying (a spiritual, meditative experience in which one’s consciousness travels without his or her physical body). This seems to be the most likely explanation to me.

These explanations may seem odd (because why would someone’s mind be hiding in your cupboard), but to me are probably the most likely, since there is no explanation for how one’s mind works, where it is located, or what its purpose is.

In training your third eye, I wonder if you have ever used psychedelics (possibly peyote)? These often alter one’s perception of the waking world. I’m not here to pass judgment; I am simply curious as to the relationship between these experiences and the use of spiritual aides.

I hope this is helpful, and am open to feedback if you wish to have a discussion.

All the best and good luck with your training, Morgen

    Hi Clive,

You didn’t post my comment about the gray mist I saw. I was hoping for some feedback, maybe you could post it in another area of your site if you didn’t delete it. I understand, it doesn’t really pertain to fairies although it was similar to Mardi’s experience. Thanks for your time and your interesting site.

    • Clive says:

I run about 30 web sites most private for my clients so I sometimes don’t make it here as often as people like. I’ve replied to your original comment . . .

  28. Fred says:

I do remember one sept I saw a small light going thru our backyard trees about 15 feet high. It was too late in the season for fireflies. Heading south. After 5 seconds it vanished. Also this morning I said “Hi fairies” and tears fill my eyes. That was good as I am going thru a hard time right now.

    • Otherwordly says:

Hey Fred, hope your ‘hard times’ have now eased. It’s possible that what you saw was a faery/fairy. You can always ask them to ease your pain (who knows? Maybe a kindly one will hear you out?)… doesn’t hurt to try.

  29. mattiegoat says:

YES!!!! Fairies ARE real! Check out this pic and you will understand:

    http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lexdhuRwfC1qeqwuq.jpg

    • Nina says:

Hi Mattie. Where did you get that photo? Is it from a website? Or did you take the photo yourself? I’ve never seen any fairies in my mind’s eye, much less see one manifest in physical form. I’m tempted to think that the photo is a doll and not a corpse(?) of a fairy. But then, fairies have never been my area of expertise. Thanks for sharing this.

    • maja says:

once i looked at the same pic and it said it was a april fool prank!!!

      • Otherwordly says:

Yes, the people who made that photo admitted to having invented the hoax. Faeries exist on a non-physical dimension (from what I understand) so you can’t ever “capture a dead one,” cause I’d imagine they’d be *very* biodegradable, if that were the case. Anyway, it was a pretty good hoax. But that’s not to say it discredits anything. ;)

        • Nina says:

Maja, Otherworldly, thanks for helping me confirm that the photo I saw was a hoax. The ‘wings’ looked like grey fossilized leaves to me. Still, the fairy corpse doll was good.

  30. Lil star says:

another way to know if afiries are real is writing a note and put it on a tree and they might write back!

  31. May says:

Hello! Im May. I’ve never done this type of comment thingie before, but this is highly interesting for me. I don’t belive I’ve ever seen fairies, I do belive their are real however. BUT in our folklore we have other “creatures” – like trolls, female trolls called Hulder, these Hulders is to look like normal females in shape, but they have a cowtale and ofcourse as all nature bound creatures they have nature colored clothes and often walk barefoot. Anyway, I was in the woods one summer day, juss over where my parents live in the west coast of Norway and had a quite drawing time for my self when i suddenly got an alarmed feeling, i then looked up and turned my head aside and saw a girl walking juss 5 meters from me, she was walking straight up, going deeper into the woods, i got really scared cause she look really scary, bare feet a simple dress and her hair long and down to her lower back. She didnt look at me once, she was very focused on walking forward, even when i started to run down and home she juss kept walking up. I do belive this was an encounter with a female troll how stupid it must sound. Now ive felt “them” often, our house is very high up surrounded by forrest, and often when i sit on the proch facing the woods i feel something lurking, watching and kinda draging me closer. It scares the beezesus out of me so i dont go closer when that happens. The forrest there is strange, is like you can feel where you can go, sit, be and where you need to leave. I cant really explain in simple words or understandeble words. I think forrest people have drawn them self deeper into the forrest or underground because of humans. to hide.

    • Ceona says:

Hey guys,I’m new to these comment things,so i hope that u guys will help me………

    • Otherwordly says:

May, that sounds like a very interesting encounter. I wanted to thank you for sharing it. Oh, and for also teaching me the new word “Hulder.” I love trolls and any “new word” to help me learn more about them is always welcomed.

Hmm… your witness is certainly an interesting one! I mean, every story I’ve contemplated on the “wee ones” tend to show they they either don’t notice that we’ve seen them (maybe because they’re not used to it) or they’re just as curious about us as we are of them (sometimes, they’re vicious and don’t want anything to do with us.)

In your case, I think the Hulder is very used to all kinds of creatures, noises, and “big things” walking in the woods.. so she didn’t realize that you were actually looking at her!

      Wow. A treasured experience.

    • Lisa says:

Well for what it’s worth, I’m a Christian too- and the Lord was Who opened my eyes to see one of these Faery Beings after a prayer I made to Him about it.

They do exist in spite of us humans and have a free will as we humans were given to either channel God’s Love or just be selfish. Just put the matter into God’s hands and ask Him that He would permit you to meet one of these Beings one day on HIS timing, His way ,etc..even if it takes for you to be in your 90′s.

In the meantime, keep an open heart about them as they are definitely real and there are many Beings that work for God’s Kingdom on Earth besides humans.

      hugs

  33. Elizabeth says:

Hi,as a little girl I lived in a small town in Washington. Our neighborhood was full of closely packed houses with small yards. My neighbors were friendly enough and every day I would leave my house and go visit anyone I could find. One day I noticed that a strange trellis would sometimes be in the yard of the house behind my home. I went in through the trellis and instead of a small house with it’s small yard. there was a great wild grassy field surrounded by trees! Also in the grass coming towards me were two figures they were small (maybe 2 feet high)brown skinned and very wrinkled and wore old fashioned clothes. They were very kind and generously shared their food with me . they asked me to come and visit whenever I saw the trellis as they had no children there and enjoyed my company. I visited often and tried to bring food of my own to share. One day they asked me to stay with them forever. I wanted to ( my home life was very negative). I went home and asked my mother who never really seemed that attached to me, if I could go live with the little old ones. My mother became very angry and went to the house of an elderly man down the road called him an old pervert and told him to stay away from me! I felt terrible, I wanted to explain to her these people were in the Trellis land and were kind and lonely and meant me well, besides she didn’t need me she had other children. But she was very angry and I was too afraid to say anything more about it.
Sadly I never saw the trellis again, but to this day I jump through every trellis I see. Who knows? I’m older now and on my own but I would still love to see them again.

    • Clive says:

Hi Elizabeth, that’s a very interesting experience / encounter.

    • Morgan says:

Elizabeth, how old were you when you experienced this? This seems too amazing to believe, thank you for sharing!

    • Lisa says:

How beautiful! I know it sounds impossible but I do believe you. Maybe you can send a thought towards these Beings that you hope to see them again some day- and that you send them your love and will never forget how they helped you during a hard time in your life.

  34. maja says:

    ummmmmmm i belive in fairys!!

  35. Suesen says:

I want to belive completely,, but I’m kinda on the fence about fairys.. I want to belive but just incase this site isn’t real are your a scam [No offence of your not] I don’t want ot come out looking like an idiot. I mean,, I’m gonna be driving soon!

But I wanna belive very, very badly.

I have a special place,, it’s at a park behind some bleachers [bear with me now]and under a bridge. Theres a medium sized creek which I love. It’s so peaceful there. I love to explore the creek, and I have this over powering urge to go upstream..it’s hard to explain. I keep trying to find routes to get upstream but it always fails. But everytime I visit I try to get there anyway..

Eh,, I don’t really know what I’m trying to tell you but I just felt the need to tell SOMEONE. [Mom && Dad would likely just tell me to stop being stupid =( ]

    Any advice?

    -Sue

    • Clive says:

That’s a difficult one Sue, I don’t believe in fairies either, some people are ‘sensitive’ enough or through past associations can see these and some cannot.

  36. Melissa says:

Hi all me & my daughter so badly want to c a fairy, Amber asks all the time ‘when will I get wings’. I believe there’s alot more out there than we can imagine. My sister thinks there’s a connection between me and the spirt world as I saw a ghost when I was 9 it was a misty smoke and two eyes staring at me. Then a few years later me my sister and dad were in his car and from no where this bright yellow light was beaming over the car and it was making the car shake so much that even my dad said it’s a UFO, We truly believe it was. Lots of other stuff that’s gone on, I’m not scared I love it…. It’s can b a cruel world we live in but if we look closer there’s magic all around us… Just open your mind :-) and believe x

i want to know the argments for and against fairies for my project at school, i am finding it hard to find it out so i wondering if someone could help me please

    • Sha says:

      Arguments for and against Fairies!
That’s a tough one Megan, i’ll have a think, but maybe arguments really don’t come into it, you either have ‘experience’ of such things or you don’t.

I guess belief or faith or hope is another different thing entirely, What do think? xx Hope you get the help and responses you are looking for :)

    • Sha says:

      Hi again Megan,

Well i haven’t had much time to think or ponder about the info. that you wanted for your ‘For and Against’ Project, BUT i was talking to a close friend of mine (she’s alot younger than me)and she gave me one of her viewpoints / or her understanding on the subject,

She said she was For, and the reason for this was-
(hmmm, i did write down her exact wordage for this, but now (as usual) i can’t it, so i’m giving you what she said from the best i can from my memory)

FOR Fairies: – It can’t be prooven that Fairies don’t exist

i would like to add to that and say – ‘it can’t be proven yet(except to ‘self’)that Faries do exist, but maybe one day we will even be able to do that…. here’s hoping! xX – that is, Scientifically prove that faries DO EXIST XX now that would be Something
      X

    • Morgan says:

I don’t know if you need sources, but wikipedia offers arguments for/against.

      http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Fairies

There’s the link ^^. Hope it helps. Let me know if you need more concrete sources, since Wikipedia is often not an acceptable source for school or professional projects.

    • Morgan says:

      http://www.nytimes.com/books/first/s/silver-strange.html

another site i just found ^^

argument for: you could always point out that the belief in faeries have been around for centuries. several cultures have unique myths about faeries, but that almost all have common fundamental characteristics. give examples of these cultures, especially ones that are geographically distant from each other. then say something pointing out that it would be unlikely for these unique and globally distant cultures could have similar beliefs without some sort of basic evidence for them to elaborate off of.

argument against: no physical proof (strong point). bring up drug use (such as peyote, etc) used among cultures (especially spiritual leaders who were often the ones who had most contact with mythical beings) and how these could skew perception. bring up that although many people believe in faeries, doesn’t make it true (relationship to ancient Greeks and their gods/religion in general).

these are just thoughts off the top of my head. again, i hope it helps :] good luck!

      • Otherwordly says:

Or, to put it more simply:

Belief FOR Faeries: It’s a faith. It’s been around for centuries and pre-dated even Christianity. Not *all* people who have witnessed faeries/creatures do illegal narcotics (in fact, many are scientists/skeptics who keep it to themselves for fear of ridicule. My father being a man of the CIA had an interesting encounter.. and he is an *ABSOLUTELY NO NONSENSE* type of guy. He doesn’t even like fantasy movies… no. Only “documentaries/history channel” thank you very much. (Bleh.. lol) Anyway, despite his encounter (and I swear to you, he had a witness) he dismisses the experience. He says he doesn’t have the answers so he’d rather just leave it at that instead of boggling over it. *groan*

Anyway, many people have never seen the deity “Yahweh” or his ilk/angels… yet they believe. How can you say “some invisible things exist” but others don’t? If I come across as insensitive, I apologize, that isn’t my intent. But you have to realize that if a religion destroys old artifacts, smashes older sacred temples and claims it is “the one and only true path” (and killed the martyrs who remained faithful to their “beliefs”) then it’s not fair to say our older ancestors must’ve been on drugs to believe in their gods, but our culture is just fine and dandy to believe in ours. lol

My logic: If you can believe in angels, demons, a male god… why limit the entire complex universe to just that? The world isn’t just black and white.. their are colors. Female deities. Diversity. And complexities. But this is on a “faith” level… on a physical level.. there are people who believe “the wee ones” can run and hide in the best places of the woods, forests, etc…

  38. Morgan says:

    Hi Clive,

I’m sure you get this all the time, so please be patient with me.

I’m curious about your beliefs in changelings? I am nineteen years old, and have entertained the idea that I could be one for a few years now. Do you think this is possible or am i foolish? Shouldn’t I have been discovered by now? Or reunited with the Faye?

Also, if it is possible, would it be likely for me to come in contact with the Folk? Or since I am older now, am I an outsider? Do you have any knowledge about Glamour?

Thank you for your time and thoughts, Morgan

  39. Kelli says:

I was sitting by the window one day in December and on the outside window sill I saw a little creature about 8 inches tall looking at me! It had glowing light yellow skin, beautiful snow white boots with white sparkely balls on the tips, golden colored hair, a snow white dress on, sea blue eyes and she was gone! I have saw her many times after them. She squeaks when she talks and had really pretty butterfly wings.

    Hello everyone,
I’m glad to have found so many people online that actually believe in the fae like i do!
I’ve heard “faeries” were the larger kind, and “fairies” the smaller kind?
    I’m not spamming, just mentioning-
I’ve been reading a lot of books on scribd, and google books about them, but everybody seems to have conflicting thoughts…. I’ve heard we will be able to see them on 2012 better, and gradually over time (i suppose maybe because of the spiritual transition)
and i’ve been going to this website
    http://www.realfairies.net lately
and i kinda wondered your thoughts on all of what i said…

  41. Allan says:

    Hello Clive,
I had an experience tonight that I would like to relate. I have been off work all week with a severe flu and taking a cough mix that contains codeine. This may be in some way responsible for my experience. I took some at at 3pm, went to lay down and rest in bed, I napped and fell asleep. At 6pm my wife came in to ask me to get up for dinner. I lay for a few minutes to gather myself and as I stared at the ceiling I saw what I can best describe as a 4 inch green Tinkerbell. It was not solid and had no facial features that I could make out, the wings appeared delicate and sparkly. As it moved, perhaps a distance of a foot, it turned to a cloud of faint green gas that expanded to something approaching the size of a dinner plate. Still moving in the same direction it condensed and changed from a green to purple gas and then appeared as a purple fairy of the same size. It repeated this sequence a few times before vanishing under the light fixture in the ceiling.
I am a (fairly rational) 42 year old man and have never experienced anything like this before. As it vanished I said “Thank you!”.

  42. Allison :D says:

I am only 13 years old, but I have always had a strong belief in fairies. I have always long to see one, be one, but I never have. I have read your pages but was just wondering… is this all nonsense? do fairies really exist? or is it just a tale to keep peoples imaginations alive?

  44. Ceona says:

hey it’s ceona again.can someone tell me if i’m crazy to believe in fairies.i think it’s way cool but others think i’m crazy.i’m 13 and my brother thinks that i behave like a mad girl.

    • Lisa says:

Ceona, you are definitely NOT crazy. I can understand how your brother feels, because I used to think as he did- but it wasnt until I reached 45 years young when I had my very own faery encounter (face to face one) in my home of all places. I live in the Country on a mountain, so perhaps that isn’t surprising , but I learned never to say “never” after that. This was 3 years ago and a day I’ll never forget.

you can tell your brother that!

  45. Lily Elizabeth says:

Wow this is amazing.. Im 12 and i have never seen a faerie but i do believe in them. Even if i never see one i will always believe in them. I guess im not like the other kids my age. I mean i actually just watched tinkerbell.. No one knows but it was inspriring. I know im too old for those movies but i loved that one. Its wear shes trapped in the little gorls room and they become friends and stuff. Thanks so much for this sight! Im making a faerie house today. I will pray that i can see one. Thanks again for the sight. – Lillith

Can anyone help???

  47. Tobi says:

Hi, I kinda stumbled across this site, and I don’t know how. But I think something has been writing inside my books. I love to read, and I always buy new books. About all kinds of things. And sometimes I will flip to a page of my books and a word is circled or there is scribbling in the margins. I don’t know why. Any insights? I’m a twenty year old girl and I just want to know if anyone can explain this. In ANY way.

    • Clive says:

Hi Tobi, I had items ‘disappear’ from around my house when I lived in Brazil. I eventually found a ‘being’ doing this and dealt with it. I remember spending hours looking for something that I was convinced I’d left in a specific place. Later after I’d given up I found this item in exactly the place I thought it should be RIGHT IN FULL VIEW. So, it would not surprise me that some ‘spirit person’ could be writing in your books.

  50. Otherwordly says:

    Hey Clive,

Thanks for sending out the good word about faeries. I, for one, have never seen one. But I have a great many reasons to suspect that they’re out there. The structure to my suspicion is quite solid, so am I quite confident in it, despite my being raised with Western science and its ideals. Ironically, I “believe” in them now as a 23 year old woman, than I did as a cocky teenager, who thought she knew it all! lol.

Now, I feel like our society has been robbed or something beautiful and natural (first, via a dogmatic religion that deprived contact with these beings…) and now scientism.

Anyway, those are just my two cents on the matter. You have full support on my end, so thanks again for your thoughts/advice!
