Tales of meeting real Fairies

A collection of tales describing real encounters of meeting fairieswhat a real fairy very much looks like

Is it a Fairy or is it a Faerie?

My first encounter with a fairy was just off the local popular bridal way near where I used to live in County Durham between Rolands Gill and Medomsley. I had a period when I would jog about a mile or so up the track in an attempt to get fit. Often however, I never made the mile as I would either be dragged into the wood by some fun nature spirits wanting to play or by Herne to be led to some interesting energy areas. On one such occasion I was led through the undergrowth until I emerged by a stream. There was a small overhanging tree on the other side which seemed to have some sort of being sitting in its central branches about two meters from the ground.

How big are fairies and do they carry wands?

As I got closer it resolved into a white creature holding a long stick type thing which actually twinkled at one end – sorry but I just could not handle that this could be a magic wand. What really confused me was that it seemed quite big (about two feet tall (60cm)) and seemed eh! somewhat overweight. As I believed that fairys were very small – say no more than six inches tall (15cm) and slim this encounter caused me slight confusion. As did the fact that it actually seemed to have some sort of magic wand. Communication went something along the lines of;

‘Are you a fairy?’ – ‘Yes I’m a fairy’ – ‘Eh!! – Are you sure?’ – ‘YES‘ ‘Aren’t you eh!! . . . too eh . . . big? . . for a fairy? . . . ‘ – ‘!$$??£‘ ‘ . . . and is that a magic wand? . . . . . ‘

I don’t think she was impressed with this exchange; she went a little sulky. So, a fat over sized fairy stretched my boundaries about fairies. She seemed to be lonely and wanted to keep to herself. I never asked if she could cast spells with her wand.

Confusing encounters with fairies continue

So, that was my first encounter a mite confusing and this unfortunately continued with the next encounter too . . . . So, while at Bellingham in Northumberland on another walk I spotted a figure sitting in a similar looking tree (they do seem to have a preference for a tree that has an open branched area part way up to ‘lounge’ in). However as this Being was about four feet tall and male and wearing green (green!!) it was very definitely not impressed with my chat (Well I some how thought that faerys were only female and green was for pixies?).

‘Hey – are you a fairy?’ – ‘Yes’ ‘Well how come your wearing green like a pixie?’ – ‘!$$??£‘ ‘Hey . . . . Eh!! . . . are you male?’ ‘I thought fairies were only female?’ . . . . . . . ‘NO!!! – I AM A MALE FAIRY

Female and Male fae sightings

I could just imagine him thinking – don’t humans know anything – what is this guy on? At a certain point during my encounters I realized that what I was seeing, was only what they wanted me to see with respect to my understanding. I realized that different people would see the same Being differently and that what they saw would be representative of their own background, understanding and expectations.

So, with this in mind the next time that I was out in the woods and felt the presence of a fairy it was my wish to see this being as itpicture of an etheric fairy - more what they really look like actually was rather than how it chose to presented itself to me. This was somewhere north of Rothbury outside a small place called Callaly if I recall correctly.

Seeing a Fairy as she REALLY is

The result was that I saw a large amorphous white cloud over a group of trees, this cloud is in reality what a fairy really is to a fairy – an intelligent energy form. As I tuned into a this cloud it coalesced and flowed down becoming more concentrated and eventually presented itself in front of me in the form of the fairy-tale fairy (much like the picture on the right). She was very beautiful and was quite amused with our encounter. I felt privileged to be in her presence, to see her as she really was and then to see her as she chooses to be recognized. It seems like my wish came true.

When you are accessing other realms to see or sense whatever is presented to you, there is always some feedback system at work. The beings you are accessing may have some ability to control their presentation; nature spirits do this.

For example the main nature spirit energy form Pan I have seen in two different forms and in one of he has so far presented himself between 2 meters tall and 30 meters.

The other factor is yourself, your past experiences and your engrained beliefs and ideas, these will ‘warp’ the interpretation of what you are presented with too.

What do fairies really look like

Well it follows from the above that it’s going to be very hard to be definitive. I have tried with the pictures above to edit and ‘play’ with them to more accurately depict the underlying energies. Some pictures that I really like because they present much more of the ‘flavour or taste’ of this realm follow;

Who believes in the fae and do they really exist?

There is a an attitude amongst dimensionally challenged scientists that people will simply ‘imagine’ or ‘create’ in their minds what they believe. This is a fairly obvious assumption from a group of people whose training in part is about staying distanced from personal experience, feeling, imagination and even intuition while striving to be ‘logical’ and ‘rational’ and ‘observant’.

This attitude and orientation actually prevents people from properly and deeply engaging with their own internal processes, feelings and landscape. If you fully engage with your internal states; your feeling states, mind states and processes, intuition, imagination, senses, dream states and spend time consciously in them then you will become familiar enough from repeated experiential ‘experience’ with your own internal workings to know their boundaries and limits and therefore have no problem telling the inner internal from the inner external (like I do).

I am sensitive enough to my feelings and emotions for example to know the differences between feelings arising spontaneously in this moment or whether they are ‘reactive’ feelings being provoked in response to a past trauma or block. I even know the subtle differences that tell me that a feeling originates not in this life’s but in a past life.

The above exchange with fairies confirms that what I ‘believed’ or more accurately what I knew about fairies did not result in my internal memory or ‘belief’ states confirming this.

What is belief? When is a belief a ‘belief’?

I have trouble with the ‘B’ word, in terms of how people define what is a ‘belief’. You could say that belief exists when ‘repeated’ experience is lacking. Repeated experience of seeing nature spirits, fairies for example takes a person out of the realm of belief and into something else.

In this respect I ‘believe’ in Centaur’s, because I myself have not seen one BUT I have heard of others whom have.

For me it’s highly likely that just about EVERYTHING that has been consigned to ‘myth’ or ‘legend’ relates to peoples experiences of getting in touch with other dimensional realities that are somehow intersecting with this one in other times when a ‘stupid & superstitious’ rationality was less prevalent. As a species, humans are progressively disengaging from ‘feelings’ and subtle sensory states while barricading ourselves into a severely limited mind.

From the above I have to be adamant that I ‘DON’T’ believe in fairies, in the same way as I don’t have to ‘believe’ in the seat I’m sitting on now for me to sit on it. I have interacted with ‘fairies’ for quite a long time. Quite simply these ‘people’ exist, and they are some what much more friendly than many ‘rational’ types even when you bother them with stupid questions.

What to do NOW?

Some people coming here want to get in touch with Fairies themselves. I have a page HERE to help YOU connect with and encounter fairies or any nature spirits, so go there and read this and on that page is a link to another page to help you become more aware of these beings too.

Anyone want to make a fairy house? Then have a look at this page HERE. (this will open this site in a new window so you can still read what is here). On this fairy house page below the picture there is a link called ‘rules’ which takes you to a page of rules on making a fairy house. Also on the first page on the right click on the picture below where it says “How to build your own Fair House” for details of doing this or click HERE to get this page to open in a new window too. Have fun.

What is your ‘experience’?

In the mean time how many of you reading this have interesting tales of your own? Have you seen a fairy or another nature spirit type?If you have then tell us about it below! Don’t be shy?

What do YOU have to SAY about what I write here?

What are your experiences? Can you relate to what is written here? We would appreciate you share your experiences because staying quite only reinforces the impression that such encounters are rare (I suspect they are not). So, don't be shy . . . . .

Well my encounter was while I was at the bathroom window , so who am I to say that you are lying? I think more of these Beings are going out of their way to show themselves to us humans- so that we can start waking up and protecting what is left of this planet- before it turns into one giant Petroleum/Gasoline drill pad!

you guys don’t know that have the people you talk to are fairies including me not all fairies have wands just wings and magic i’m that type of fairy

pls can you tell me how to communicate with fairies,i have a friend name bernard whom my son sees and talk.pls kindly help me thank u so much,

          • amara says:

if your son sees him then he is your sons bonded pixie not fairy pixies are smaller about the size of what you consider a miniature fairy

          • Clive says:

Again I’ll reiterate, there are many separate and different ‘fairy’ races, what you describe applies to those you have connections to but NOT to others. The race you have connections to can agree to ‘bond’ with ‘humans’ but others not.

    • Sadie says:

Haha THAT is so cool. Im sure you realy did see it. i realy want to see one. did you do anything to make it come you think?

  3. Wicklow says:

    Danu – Nature’s Fairy Tale
The world is changing. It’s growing and flowing and people are moving to live in places they never have before. People move so quickly that it seems they have no time to see the beauty that is nature.
Instead people today seem to want to tear down nature by cutting down trees and paving over meadows that used to be full of flowers.
Forests are much smaller than they used to be. A world of beauty and wonder is disappearing – but you can help protect it!
My name is Fae and I need your help to save the land where my family and I live.
Long ago the world was covered in green. There were no houses – at least, not any houses that look like the one you live in – no skyscrapers and no cars.
There were forests and jungles, flowers, animals and sparkling waters as far as the eyes could see. My family called this place Danu, and it was beautiful.
Danu still exists but sadly many people do not believe in it anymore. People have forgotten what it means to care for nature. They cannot see the beauty that is so close to them. They cannot even see me anymore – they don’t even try.
When you are walking in the forest or playing in a stream you are in Danu. The next time you go for a hike remember that if you are very quiet and kind to nature and to everything that lives in it – and if you believe – maybe, just maybe you will see me or one of my friends.
You will know that we are nearby when you see the bright coloured flowers and lush green plants and trees that bloom and grow in the spring and summer.
In the fall we are in the changing colours of the leaves.
In winter we take shelter in the hollows of trees and dance when the snow flutters and falls on the breeze.
You can help me save the land of Danu by caring for nature. When you are at home you can recycle or grow a garden. If you plant Roses or sunflowers I may come to visit.
When you go for a walk in the forest, play at the park or go camping make sure you don’t leave any garbage behind. It could hurt the animals or plants that call that place home.
The most important way to help would be to tell your friends and family to help protect and care for nature too. Together you can recycle, create a garden at home or school and make sure that the forests, jungles, deserts, tundra and swamps of the world are safe for the future.
You can also speak or think this simple wish the next time you are outside.
Friend of Fae I am, I may,
Save Danu for me and you.

Your words will carry in the air on the wings of butterflies and I will hear you and know you are a friend of nature, a friend of Danu – a friend of mine.

The more people who do these things will mean my home of Danu is healthy and strong. I will continue to have a place to call home and you will forever have beautiful places to visit and care for.
Why just visit though, when after all, Danu is your home too.
    ~End~

hey… i do belive in fairies…but does they really really really exist??? ya its jst a imaginative charctr….i really wanted 2 knw,,n i wanted 2 do reserch on it….

    • Lisa says:

Anusua, they truly do exist. Most research you do on them is just going to be old Irish or Welsh Folklore but the Faery are all over the Earth-and alot of the folklore is really far-fetched and doesnt do them justice.

  5. LEILA says:

pls i really wanna see them my son told me we have lots of fairies in my hse of of the fairy who always help me is bernard sometimes i can hear him sometimes i can feel them .ifbernard want me to feel him i can smell a very wonderful fragrance in my hse.pls help me i wanna open my third eyes ive been training to open up my chakras but still it seems its overload help me pls thank u

    • Clive says:

Hi Leila there are exercises on site to help people become sensitive / more in touch with these ‘beings / people’. There are links to these pages toward the bottom of the page above.

      • amara says:

Clive i have heard about you and your efforts to communicate with us it is my job as queen of linarya and fairy of nature the most powerful fairy to exist to tell you your race is killing many of us and more and more we are making a home else where in another entire dimension and once we are all gone the human race will become extinct

        • Clive says:

But apparently not powerful enough to know that there are many different races of ‘little people’ within this ‘earth space’ and hence completely separate nature spirit tribes and other fey communities whom live in different ways by different traditions and have different relationships to humans compared to what you describe. Comments are here for people to present their experiences. I DON’T accept what you write as being ‘representative’ of all fey/nature spirits/ little people. So, in the future if you leave comments here please make it explicit what is your experience else you’ll make it more difficult for others to present there’s and I won’t approve comments that disrespect the full range of ‘nature spirits / fey’ communities and how they live. This page here; http://www.realitywalker.com/uncategorized/nature-spirit-friends-moved-to-a-new-home/ describes nature spirits / fey coming together from 3 very different ‘tribes’ or communities because like me they want to explore beyond what they ‘think they know’ and get a broader and deeper education, perhaps you should think about ‘considering things beyond what you think you know’ too.

        • Clive says:

Just to make it clear ‘Amara’ you have connections to ONE type of fairy tribe / clan / community and NOT to all. So, it’s disrespectful for you to assume that what you know about your ‘tribe or even group of tribes’ applies to ALL other ‘fey’ communities. So, in the same way that I’d be unhappy about a Buddhist speaking for and interpreting things with respect to a Christian tribe, then I’m not happy having ‘you’ as a representative of ONE type of ‘fey’ people applying your interpretations to all others. You as a human KNOW your fairy connections. What you don’t know is that there are NO humans here. Everyone here is from other worlds and other places whom have elected to have a human experience LIKE YOU ARE and we are all here to try and find out and to resolve all the problems we are all having everywhere. So, it might be comforting for you to ‘think’ that somehow ‘fairies’ are excluded from what is happening in this ‘earth’ space but this is NOT true either. They are part of all of it as is everyone else.

        • David says:

are u truly a fairy i mean ppl will say anything how can i be sure that ur a real life fairy?

  6. karysa says:

hi, i was thinking could you marry a non human? If you could could you have babies? i just had a random thought.

  7. Bree says:

Hey I just read your post and it was pretty interesting, but I do have some questions. I wonder how come when the Fae are describes they are miniscule or really really short? In older legends aren’t they masters of illusion and shape shifters. Usually their taller then that. I do believe in them, but my experiences with them haven’t always been cutesy…They seemed to in general demand respect and are not to be trifled with period. These are otherworldly beings with their own agendas, ideas, and ways of being that are alien to ours in respect. The one’s I believe to be Fae are illusive as the wind and they rarely speak to me…laughing, singing, and beguiling sure. They communicate by flickering shadows here and there, whispering my name, symbolism, unexpected appearances that leave you wondering, and vivid dreams. You know when they come around a feeling of vibrancy and caution appears. It’s like something in you is on high alert yet you can’t help, but be enticed a bit. The Fae are lovely true, but to color them as flower babies must leave them hysterical.
No doubt they are very real.

    • Lisa says:

Bree, from my experience, there are a vast variety of Faery- Some are very tiny, some are a few inches, some a few feet (like up to 3 feet) , some are very tall. They do all shapeshift as well.

Not all are winged, but some are. I’ve read accounts of the taller faery you are mentioning- I think they are nicknamed, “The Lordly ones” or Sidhe – and no, they are not cute or to be trifled with- neither are the small pixies, who actuallly ARE funloving, but don’t underestimate their intelligence!

I’ve seen one of the smaller pixie Beings 3 years ago this coming Memorial Day. She was actually resting in my hair and did not look at all like a Cecily Mary Barker flower Faery. She had soft light cocoa brown skin, and wide set large dark brown eyes which had no human irises in them- but were all dark brown. They were wide-set and she had high brow bones and high cheekbones., Her hair was pulled up off of her face, and her features were exquisite. She seemed to have a thin delicate frame, but my hair was blocking most of her but her face and neck.

She was very small too-her face was the size of an American dime. One thing that I will never forget was the real empathy that shined in her eyes- these Beings are Empaths– they do feel pain that animals and humans , insects, even trees and plants feel.

Not long after my encounter with this Being, While I was still half asleep before waking up, I heard a woman’s voice sing the following to me: “you are helping the flower to seed; all things are precious”

This woman’s voice did not come from someone small, but from someone human sized or taller- and I believe she was one of the Sidhe who was watching my progress after my first encounter . After my first encounter, i had immediately made a faery garden and started taking care of Nature, wild plants, tree saplings, wild animals, etc.. and I think I was being observed :-)

  8. Katie D says:

Hi I live in new jersey and i live in a normal town and all. but down the street (i can practically see it from my window) is a forest. it is more like a hiking trail. there are humans who go there on the trail and it isnt a huge forest. is there a chance of fairies there? lately i have been having this feeling in my heart tht i cant explain but its telling me they are real. i want to have a connection with the fairies and see one (not just for fun) but i am afraid of evil fairies. help me?

    • Doriane says:

Katie, I live in NJ as well and I have been to several paths and forests where I do believe there are fae. I actually know a few people that seem as if their half-fae. It’s as if they have faerie blood in them but aren’t full-fledged faeries. I, though, have encountered faeries only a few times, one of these times being when I was eating a piece of angel food cake and drinking coffee (I <3 coffee) I was just minding my own buisness when a piece of the fluffy cake actually jumped out of my hand and landed on the table. I was shocked and could merely watch as the piece began to float and disappear, as if it was being eaten. Then I was about to drink my coffee when I notice that half of it's already gone (even though I had just poured it). So, yes, faeries do exist and live all around the world. Listen to your heart and follow your instincts. Make sure to be careful and listen to any warning signs your heart may tell you. If you're careful I'm sure you'll be fine :) Let me know how it goes!

      • Mami says:

When I was really small (I think I was 6 at the time) i slept over at my grandma’s.She let me sleep with her that night, but why i don’t remember.I woke in the middle of the night like something woke me.I wasn’t dreaming or very awake either.Almost felt drowsy. From the bed I could just see her dressing table. And under that dressing table i could see a ball of light just moving around like in circle.I just stared at it for sometime and slept off again… I still clearly remember that night even now! Do you think that might be a fairy? I’ve never anything like after that night. If it was a fairy (i kinda believed it was) what was it trying to do. If it woke me up in the mid of the night then it must have something urgent to tell me or show me right? I’m very confused. And why didn’t i ever see it again?

  9. This is my encounter: I had never believed in fairies until now and I thought that magic was silly. Until one day when I was tending to my marajuana plants and I saw a little glittering light dart past me! But it wasnt a light! It was a little person! It was a young man with blue eyes and golden hair -with wings! I have never seen anything so beautiful! I found myself thinking about this man all day and night. I think I am in love with him! I have never felt this way before! Is it possible to love a fairy? Is it possible to have romantic relations with a fairy? Or is this wrong? What should I do??

  10. Summer says:

This is something that has always puzzled me. I have always been super-sensitive to the paranormal, supernatural, my earliest memory of such encounters being when I was 3. I am sure you know how it is. You recount your experiences but people look at you as being a bit looney or over-imaginative. But, when I was around 9 or 10, we lived on a huge acreage far out in the countryside. There was an old barn and other ancient outbuildings on it where my siblings and I used to play. I always felt super-uncomfortable when playing in the loft in the barn..like I was being watched. Then, one day, my younger sister and brother told me, both excited and astonished, that they had seen ‘little people’ there! Their story made me wonder. Many months later, when I was going through a very trying time, I awoke one early morning to a very intriguing site. I was laying on my back in the bed I shared with my sister. Early morning light was filtering into the room from the window. There, dancing around on top of me, was a small, exquisitely formed female ‘faery’. Her hair was auburn and long and wavy..her face a beauty I can not describe. She wore a soft, peach-colored floaty dress. I donot think she had wings. This is just 1 encounter I have had…there are more. I have never been able to discern why this one visited me. I still wonder.

Check out the things i make, i make statues and homes for the fey, i find it strokes their egos and makes them more comfortable in the homes. Especially the brownies and imps.

can a woman fall in love to a fairy?

  13. earthgirl says:

How do fairys always have there wings or do thay only come on full moon like they start growing i dont know much about faires I do watch alot of tinkerbell though and only 11 please dont make fun of me.

    • Sha says:

      hi Earthgirl,

Hmmmm, 11 yrs olds…., i can remember being 11 yrs old that’s was over 31 yrs ago now, i don’t know very much about ‘real’ fairies, as in this life i’ve never actaully seen one, i don’t think so anyway….

i do however watch butterflies and other insects

are you suggesting that fairies ‘shed’ their wings and then re-grow new ones ?

      Thanks

      xX

      • amara says:

no fairies don not shed their wings instead fairies have levels of magic and when they earn each of the levels they get more powerful and a pair of new stronger wings

        • Clive says:

Not entirely true, there are many separate and different ‘fairy’ races, what you describe applies to those you have connections to but NOT to others.

  14. Helena says:

Hi, as you can see my name is Helena… i have been looking for fairies… but i have had no luck yet, sometimes i can feel that they are near (or am i just imagining it?), but all i have only seen is butterflys. Are butterflys a sign that fairies are near? i left a note outside but they won’t responed… i am starting to think that fairies are not real… everybody tells me they are not… but i still have faith…

    • Nina says:

In my country’s culture, we don’t need butterflies nearby to help us pinpoint the location of fairies (or other spirits in general). They just appear if they want to. Or if you are sensitive enough, you’ll be able to sense them or even ‘see’ them. But I still think I am more likely to see fairies in places where nature thrives.

Most people around me are city dwellers, so they don’t believe in fairies. Even I only believe in them. I’ve never seen one in my life. I would like to see one, but my subtle senses are mostly blocked as of now.

    • kate says:

Well I know a fairy that can turn into a butterfly I see her very often, and if the fairies don’t write back their frightened because they don’t trust you so try to gain their trust.

  15. Helena says:

    SOMEBODY ANSER MY QUESTION!

    • Sha says:

      Hi Helena,

i donot know the connection to fairies and butterflies, if there is one, but for me i often feel ‘spirit’s’ presence within butterflies and other insects.

Sharing time with insects, especially the flying types brings a sense of companionship and spiritual communion, that can be very enjoyable if one has the time to appreciate and share.

Feeling fairies around you must be a nice experience, even if you cannot yet see them. Feeling things in ‘spirit’ is a good way to start connecting and accessing more of things in the ‘spiritual’.

I’m not sure how a spirtual being ie. a fairy, would go about answering a written ‘physical’ note… how would a spiritual being write a physical reply to you?

Look to how you feel, or to ‘clues’ in life, to find any fairies or spiritual-type responses… that might be easier for both yourself and any potencial fairy encounter / interaction.

I have not seen an actual fairy that would look like a fairy, though i have often times felt or seen what appeared to be an energy mass in the branches of trees.

Also sometimes i see colourful blobs or sparkles…. and like to think that these maybe others from the ‘spirit world’,… possibly even being a fairy or two…

Faith can be good, be open if you can to the possibility of fairy life and one day, you might just have that experience for yourself that confirms to you that fairies are REAL and DO EXIST…..xx

Hope that helps a little xX

Sometimes when I’m walking in nature (Hampstead Heath Kew Gardens) I seem to connect with a tree,I stand there admiring it and it seems to switch on,can’t describe it any other way.But the same thing happens sometimes with art in a gallery as well…best wishes Annemarie

  16. Steller says:

I have tons of stories about encounters with fae, and I actually have a lot of friends who see and communicate with fae on a regular basis. You can go to this website and forums and talk about your experiences and you can also meet real fae here. I had problems believing until I came here, and I am absolutely amazed. They have a site and a forum, both can be gotten to on either site.

    http://thefaeriechannel.lefora.com/

I really suggest this place because it’s amazing, and I learn so much. There are also audios of fae speaking through people who can channel them!

    • Tana says:

May i ask,Steller, have you seen them? I was just wondering as well, and you dont meet people like this usually. Faeries have fasinated me since I was a little kid and I know they are real. Go to Barbara Morris’s website and you’ll learn lots of things about them. I know TONS of things about them. I will look at the forums. Here is the link:http://www.moonsmuses.com/fae.html

      • Steller says:

Yes! I have seen them. When I first met them, I was cautious, so I had done a whole lot to validate them. But I got to speak with them over a period of time, and even video chat with them and they showed me how its all done. I actually didn’t really believe in channeling or much of fae until I watched them. I could actually FEEL their presence and energy.

I learn a lot here, and everyone is able to contribute. Even if you don’t believe in channeling, they let us talk about everything else as well. That’s what makes it very great.

does anyone belive this to be a coincidence? my parents named me tatiana monique, which one of these names, [i believe monique] means faery/fairy queen. it also describes my personality within my name. i have had an interest in mythological creatures such as fairies but so far, fairies have fascinated me the most. i truly do believe in them and i hope i can see one someday. when i lived at my old home, there was a creek that i was drawn to go to everyday and play. because it was so beautiful and i had this strange feeling i wasnt alone and i was being protected. it was a good feeling.

  17. fairylove says:

i feel their presence sometimes, their so beautiful i bring them gifts. soon im going to give them a small little glass of milk and honey drizzled over the side!

I was wakeing up and I heard a noise, it sound of flapping wings , I through it was just a bug trapped in the door but when I got up and went to open the door but before I did I saw bright colourful lights and still a flapping noise, I was so scared so I just opened the door and it was gone, i think I’m going crazy cause I keep hearing noise and seeing thing, could that be a fairy?

    • Tana says:

      X3 the past couple of days I’ve experienced things I cant explain. In my half conscienceness I have heard what sounded like fairies speaking. But this could have been a dream. I also heard percisely three knocks on my window. I was fully awake then. But I was too afraid to look and see what it was. And no, i do not think you are crazy. Talk to them; even if it seems like your talking to yourself the fae CAN hear you. And if you want to comunicate with the fae, put out offerings such as cream, honey, cake, warm milk, alchohol, and chocolate. I want to hear what your results will be. ^_^ ( but I advise not to be TOO negitive around them, be polite, kind as you can. Eventually, you may gain their trust. I am working hard at this, so anyway, best of wishes.) If you want to learn more, feel free to become a member on thefaeriechannel. I am. [above}

      • Lisa says:

That’s interesting that you heard three knocks on your window- after inviting the Fae into my home a month ago and leaving some snacks out for them in my room- I heard three knocks on my antique wooden dresser around 2:00 am. i’m thinking it could have been a gnome… I love gnomes , elven beings, pixies, winged fae–actually all of them. :-)

    • Tana says:

Victoria, Yes, I think it could be a fairy!!!!! Fairies like to be around pure spirited, kind, and gentle people!!!! If you want to attract them further, sprinkle some thyme on your windowsill. Also, during a full moon night, if you lay out honey, cakes, warm milk, cream, whiskey, or chocolate they are sure to come visit you! Just make sure the container is small, like a thimble. Do not be afraid of them, for what seems to visit you are good fae. Do not try to photograph or capture one, they hate that! Sometimes it takes a little believing even to make them come. I’ve heard noises that sounded like three taps on my window! I didnt go and see what it was but I’m almost postive it was a fairy! Good luck, and dont be afraid!

  19. Sharon says:

I have read this article because I am communicating with fairies throug fairy cards. I refuse to see any entities, even though I was offered to see them, because I, in my mind, want to be connected to reality and grounded, sobi choose not to ” complicate” the delicate balacs I created. I can feel them, I communicate them, also with my guides. I just wanted to share that without the fairies I wouldn’t know how would I cope with certain situations I faced. I feel like they always tuned to me. In the past, I would hear ” the fairies wants to talk to you”, not so much these days, since many things in my life are more stable and relaxed. I feel grateful.

    • Nina says:

How do you use fairy cards to communicate with fairies? I’ve seen a few fairy cards that are marketed as tools for healing.

When i was 14 years old i was walking into my family room and i saw a big bright light that started to dim very slow. I was not scared and the light just got dimmer and went away. Could that be a fairy? I am 27 years old now. If that was a fairy do they follow you where ever u go?

  21. caro says:

My experience was back in the nineties, in a garden off Ponce De Leon Ave in Atlanta. Ponce is a busy street in the daytime, and never really empty of traffic at night. The garden is the Cator Woolford Garden. It is down an embankment from Ponce and the embankment has plenty of scrub growth that screens it from the street. There are wild areas of wood land which include virgin timber as well as a classical areas. I saw this on a night of late winter or early spring, when the new plants were just coming up. First, my attention was snagged by a light up in a tree, glowing green about the size of a football. I wondered what was catching the light, which I assumed was ambient light from the Ponce streetlights. I stepped near, and the actually forgot about this light, if you can believe it. There was a ditch at my feet,in which the overflow from the creek wandered around and through the garden and joined the creek again The ditch was narrow but quite deep. Across the ditch the air seemed to boil with darkness, even though it was dark, this was a busy darkness. A little gnome suddenly appeared. Although it was dark, this gnome was in color, Slouchy rust colored hat and vest gray scraggly long hair, bushy eyebrows. He was completely inanimate. My visceral reaction was abject terror, classic panic. I fled babbling and my now ex husband ran with me. After all he wasn’t by me when I saw this and we were in a wooded dark garden in the city at night…for all he knew I had come face to face with an axe murderer. I was literally terrified, the most frightened I have ever been in my life, which has contained a few real life terrors that should have scared me more. But this thing was the absolute scariest thing that ever happened to me, although as I have said it seemed completely inanimate and made no move toward me.

This incident happened about 5 years ago. I am now 36. I was just learning LBRP and practicing it daily. I had read that doing it every day would create change in my life. At that time, I was also dabbling with mantras to the goddess. Anyway, one night after I had being doing LBRP daily for over a month, I had noticed that I had started hearing sounds. One night as I went to bed, I turned off my lights and crawled into bed. I could hear flutters of wings. More than one pair. Something kept brushing up against my hair. It scared the crap out of me. Is that a faery?

    • Tana says:

@Caro: I’m sure it was a gnome or something. I’d be so very happy that I saw one if I were you. You have real magic. And that might not be the last time you see one! -blessings-

  23. Tana says:

Tina: Are you sure there was no moths or insects near you at the time? Did you see a light? And if you did, I would say 99.9 percent it was a faery! If they like you they might be your friend. Don’t try to catch them and be kind. Ask for their name, and if you hear a response its 100%!! ~Tana

  24. Ashley says:

I believe i might have seen one once. it was at a football game and these winged things were flying around i swear i saw 2 legs on 1! and then i saw a very bright one near the lights it was bigger than the other bugs and it seemed to fly all around.

  25. Ashley says:

    • Tana says:

Thats so amazing Willow! I tried that but it wasnt a still day! Lol! And Angie, I am positive fairies exist. They arent just little people with wings; they are like elves, troll, pixies, and puhka too. Most of them see humans as STUDID, CLUELESS, and ARROGANT creatures. There is no easy way to see 1. They just kinda come around if they want.

    • Affirmer says:

When I was six years old I lived in a tranquil old house overlooking a river with rainforest beyond that. I used to wake up early and go to my grandmother’s room. She would be reading with a small lamp on. One morning just before the sun rose over the forest, I was sitting on the floor playing and I noticed faint golden halos around my hands. When I looked closer I could see little wings with tiny human bodies. I tried to cup them in my hands and peep at them, but it was like trying to grab at thin air. I could not hold on to them.I asked my gramdma to look and she just said, “yes dear”. I think I was sitting too far from her for her to see the faint halos, but at the time I thought she was too busy reading to really look down. But I didn’t mind (when I look back, it was amazing how accepting I was of this joyful experience that I found myself in, with these darling little beings). We had a wonderful time playing. It was probably only a minute or two. I think they had as much fun knowing I could not touch them,as I did trying to hold them. The faint halos and the faries were becoming fainter as the sun was beginning to come up over the forest and into the bedroom window. Then in a blink of an eye they were gone. I told my sister what I had seen but nobody else.I was old enough to know that people weren’t supposed to see faries. Many years later when I was married I told my husband.I’ve always considered myself a realist and even as a child I never suffered fools gladly. I did see them without a shadow of a doubt. This is the first time I have ever spoken of them other than to my husband and sister. My husband and sister know me well enough to know I’m not into BS and have never doubted me.This is a deep held truth that I hold. I believe faries exist in another dimension to our earth. Whether they want us to see them is up to these cheeky little beings themselves. Have peace in your heart, Angie, knowing at least – they do exist.

      • Clive says:

I’m not into BS either and I’m definitely super allergic to fools too, although I have to ‘disappear’ quite a few comments from BS foolish people that some how think I’m making up what I write here. Sad really. Yea, they are in another ‘reality’ space but you do have to either have some historical (as in past life) connections to them OR be generally ‘other reality’ sensitive to actually see them. Science doesn’t really have a clue.

    • Lisa says:

Juliet, it could have been a faery or pixie. I’ve had a similar experience after playing music on my CD player for them one night. I actually felt the presence of one of these Beings resting on the shelf where I keep alot of crystals and pretty things for the faery who visit. It seemed as though this invisible presence was saying “thanks for the music,” so I said out loud, “You’re welcome– but the crickets outside sound far nicer than any of the human music!’

Then I went to sleep and right before waking up that following morning, I heard this being whisper in my left ear with the most beautiful sounding voice asking, “Can you help me?”

This Being didnt sound sad- actually very chipper and happy. I couldnt tell if he or she was a “he” or a “she”- but the voice was beautiful.

My reply to this Being was, “I’ll have to ask God to show me how I can help you”.

So that morning, I just went out and picked up trash along this road I live near. that’s all I could think of what this Being was asking of me. That day I found a wonderful stadium cushion laying on that roadside– and for awhile I had always wanted to get one of those cushions to sit on while resting near this pond I visit. No cooincidence!– and I will treasure that stadium cushion all my life.

i believe in fairies eventhough i dont even see them . i wanna what is that tiny voice that i heared .. anybody know what is that is that a fairy

  33. kerry says:

hi i can say i’ve never met a fairy or fae? when i was young i did see lights and felt spirits in my bedroom some not so nice to tell truth but my what i would like to know is if they are real how do u gain there trust and do they only come around when ur in need or feeling low? i like the idea of fairies but is there bad or evil ones? and how do u know to trust them?…. also there are lots of you guys saying how u feel so much love from them and at times fall in love do u think its how they gain ur trust? and how would that work you can live ur life with a fairy can you? there not human if you guys wouldn’t mind awnsering theys for me please would be a great help into understanding
    thanks .

    • Lisa says:

kerry, just as with humans, I believe that there are the nasty not so nice faerykind, as well as those who choose to be more on the positive side. As we humans, all intelligent Beings have the choice to be mean-spirited, or charitable, selfish or unselfish.
There are probably psycopathic Fae just as psycopathic humans. Thankfully, I’ve only met the nice kind who are not interested in the destruction of all humans., but I know some who have encountered not so nice ones. I have encountered lots of negative humans, as well as humans under demonic influences.

I dont know about romantic relations with them– I wonder if that’s all folklore regarding that, but I’m not familiar with everything involving the Faery so I wouldnt know. Clive would have more insight than the rest of us.

I personally can’t see a faery being attracted romantically with a human. I think they can have deep friendships with humans- at least the Tribes of Fae that are open to being around the humankind, as some don’t want to bother with us.

I don’t think there would be a sincere sexual attraction, though. If I were a Faery, I would be totally turned off with the idea.

  34. Tana says:

There are several courts of fae but there are two I am going to name. Seelie and Unseelie. Seelie are typically the good fairies and unseelie are usually the bad, vicious ones who want to annihilate humans. Seelie wont hurt humans (usually) but at the same time, most dont care much for humans. Fairies gain your trust by watching your aura and your way of doing things

    • Clive says:

REALLY!! If you want to try and write Silly or even Unsilly garbage on here maybe using a consistent e-mail address rather than one that changes every comment might be a good idea?

  35. Dara says:

    Hi all
I am a Muslim,it is the first time I try to find information about Fairies or Jins as we call them in western language and culture, although it is not allowed according to Islam to communicate with them, but many do, and personally I don’t believe it is against Islam to communicate with them, if you don’t try to use them for evil deeds, one very famous story is the prophet Sulaiman (Solomon) peace be upon him, that used to rule humans and Jins at the same time.and that is the excuse that Muslim scholars use not to try to get close to that world, because it was a miracle only for him, and it is disrespect to him, because he asked God (Oh my lord, give me a kingdom that no one else will ever have)
But I don’t want to be like him, just to have some friends among them, and it is easier than you think, I have many things to share with you my human friends if you interested. I hope my English is good enough to communicate with you.

    • Lisa says:

Dear Dara, what I would do is to pray, asking God if He would some day (on His timing- not ours) permit you to meet one of these Beings –as long as that Being is united with God. Ask that if this is permitted, that it would be an encounter and friendship that would honor God.

I made this prayer over 3 years ago, and God did choose to answer that prayer on His timing. One month later I had a face to face encounter. Since that day I can’t normally see them (unless God opens my eyes again) but I feel their presence and I feel a bond of love with them in my heart.

If you put the matter in God’s hands, God will be so happy that you are trusting in Him for this, that one day , you may meet one of these Beings. It may be at your deathbed when you are old, or much sooner.

  36. Koala Bear says:

    Dara,
Jins or Djinns arent fairies. They are demons that supposedly can be controlled by the owner and grant wishes. More or like in the book I read, The Bartimaeus Trilogy. They arent the highest rank of their kind, Ifrits are but are still dangerous. Fairies, on the other hand are a lot of times depicted as small people with wings. But really, there are so many kinds of fairies which is crazy, and all these other creatures, (Elf,Banshee,Gnome,Brownie, Succubi/Incubi, Mermaid) are called fae. You’ve probably heard mermaid stories close to where you live, yes?

  37. Dara says:

Lisa, thank you, really nice words and agree with you, that is what I did, anyway, I don’t like to speak about personal experiences, and later you’ll know why, Koala bears : as long as we have very little knowledge about them, naming also is depend on your culture and where you live, Jinn for example is a general name and the word itself means (hidden) in Arabic, in Farsi(Persian) and Kurdish they call good and beautiful ones (Perry) and bad, harmful ones (Dew) demon, what we believe in general and is known for us as human is two other been, angles and Jinns, only humans and Jinns have the freedom of choice, in other words you can bee good or evil, it is your choice, the same thing applies to jinn, they have freedom to choose, they have different cultures, religion, language and nations, in each nation there is bad and good individual, but angles have no freedom to choose, they are like solders that obey God and never do things against his wish, so there is no bad angles, what we call fallen angles are actually evil Jinns, and there is evil humans also.
There is humans that have very strong relation with jinn, I’ll mention (Bila al ghaib) ??? ?????? from Sudan, he is very well known around the world and most leaders know him and meet him all around the world, and he looks to be a good Muslim, but most people that have relation with them, keep it secretly.
Another thing to mention, every thing outside our physical or material word is unseen (Jinn) to us, in other words, our senses are designed to discover only what we are made out of, Jinns live in a parallel word close to us, or mixing with our world, our senses are not good enough to see them, that doesn’t mean we are more real than them, if a Jinn or Fairy wants you to see him-her, he has to choose a shape close to your belief and understanding, that is why we see them differently.
That is enough for now, most people hate too long articles.

  38. Elizabeth says:

Hi Clive, I can relate to so much of what you say on this website (very informative indeed); although I am a rookie when it comes to dabbling with the paranormal or altered states. Alas I have no direct experiences with fairies to relate (yet!), although many other paranormal events throughout my life have occurred including a miraculous healing as a child when I had an incurable form of cancer; a time when I wholeheartedly and unquestioningly believed in the fey I recall! What compels one to suddenly seek this type of interaction; with fairies for example? As you rightly point out, these entities are not necessarily any more spiritually “enlightened” than we have the capacity to be, and their motives/agendas are alien in a sense, yet for my part, having re-initiated my art which is suddenly all about accessing abstract symbolism, mystical imagery and often contains fairies & angels, I feel this odd compulsion that I have already connected on perhaps too subtle a level to consciously interpret what it means, and that this path of a tenuous connection is something I have to explore more fully. I feel excited about exploring it too, as if I have opened up a new chapter in my life which fits more with who I really am, if this makes sense. I’ve recently moved into a neo-gothic Victorian mansion (split into flats), and although always open to other dimensional possibilities its only in this new dwelling where my artwork has flourished and my interest in fairies/angels has become more of an absorbing passion (perhaps a calling); a digging for deeper truths regarding other overlapping dimensions. I even have my own local owl outside my window regularly; strange also because owls figure in my artwork and fascinate me. The house is next to a school and I “sense” a completely different composition of subtle energies in this new abode; an overall enchantment, a feeling perhaps that the proximity of children, the abundance of trees, gardens, or even leylines (there are many in Kent), is considerably stronger than anywhere I have lived for a while and that I am being offered an “invitation” to explore. Where do I start? I live alone and therefore want to develop enough discerning wisdom not to be too beguiled too easily by perhaps something with undesirable motives. I consider myself not easily taken with mere appearances, although I suspect if I spotted a fairy I would be very taken indeed..LOL.

    • Clive says:

Hi Elizabeth, I’m writing some pages on the Akashic records that will go up on soul-healer.com probably within a couple of months time. I’ll probably explain there why different ‘same’ places can have a completely different ‘feel’ (I’ve actually just written this now – so it’ll be there when this series appears). Everyone’s experience is different and their competence and so on. So everyone is going to encounter and experience different things and have different responses to what they encounter. I’ve many comments presented here that range from warning to total paranoia over encountering ‘bad’ things and being swallowed up by them (that I for the most part delete).

No one seem to understand that the less people engage with these areas then the less understanding and experience we gain and the less accurate never mind coherent information is presented and so the bias is to have people become more and more frightened and in terms of these areas all cowering behind their sofa. So, the bias is to make it likely we lose more and more context and understanding of the types of experiences I’m presenting on this site and so the scared ‘all spirits are demons’ type of paranoia wins. My attitude is I’m going to get enough experience such that any demons I meet I’ll either scare the living daylight out of with my competence and lack of fear AND in so doing have a chat with them and find out who they are. As described HERE. Also discernment isn’t all it seems either as described HERE. Most of us are actually sabotaged and are actually MADE FEARFUL to keep us away from interesting spirit areas.

      • Elizabeth says:

Thanks for your reply Clive. I wish I could meet more people like you in my everyday life instead of the stifling City “suits” I engage with every day in London..lol. My “path” has been slightly skewed in that sense.
I absolutely agree with everything you say – I use to have to even defend my passionate interest in Buddhism and Eastern esoteric thought to fundementalist Christians, realising in the end it is quite futile because we all want to perceive the shadow side in ourselves as “out there” in an externalised threat; the play The Crucible being the perfect example of this. With so much wrong thinking projected outwardly, it makes me realise the truth of anything from its “own side”, is perhaps the hardest truth to come by and easily the most profound. So I would hope I would give any “entity” the benefit of the doubt before instantly casting it in a demonic guise. I like what you say in one of your commentaries about using your intuitive gut instinct to “sense” whether something is right or not.

Re your comment about places and their subtle energies, I love Kent and Sussex (in the foothills of the Downs being my most cherished earliest childhood memories)and Ashdown Forest, for anyone who lives in this area, has an allure for me which is almost magnetic. I’m pretty sure one day I will see a fairy, or maybe two, up there!! By the way, I wanted to add one more thing, some years ago when I was going through a very low patch, and decided to spend a day at a nearby home of healing called Burrswood, for one tantalising moment it seemed the trees themselves were singing to me in a type of magnificent ethereal music so seductive I did this mental double-take, thinking, “hey, hang on, just what IS this??”. Is it so easy to cast these experiences in doubt later on, but I KNOW quite distinctly what I heard and the trees were suddenly animated in music. Occasionally a little opening is rendered unto me, so my wish is to prize it open a little further and a little further still as my path unfolds.

so I was just sitting in my room and I was searching for Faery stuff online.. I spent a lot of time reading beautiful experiences and stories about faeries (:
So I was just siting there and I was all relaxed when all of a sudden I started hearing something like a peaceful song.. At first I thought it was a neighbor listening to music but then it got louder and I could clearly hear someone burbling a melody .. But it was sort of like coming from inside of my head (i can’t really explain it so well)
Do you think it could have been a Faery ?

    • Elizabeth says:

      Hi Kathy,

I have encountered this experience twice before in my life – hearing what one might term celestial music which seems to be in your head but also external, if that makes sense. It definitely is tuning into a usually untapped wavelength, a something “other” than this restricted reality we encounter every day, but why we hear it…who knows. In my instance the first time was when I’d had a sitting with a clairvoyant at the College of Psychic Studies in London, and had been casually asking about spirit guides (as you do!!); that evening I heard this sudden drift of delightful music on the air. Just a tantalising snippet! The second time, I was in a very low state of mind, and therefore it seemed an uplifting gift from the surrounding trees. I realised today that I am very connected to trees; I even felt a male presence emanating from a large tree opposite my building today; most odd! I expect my psychic attunement to be musical though as my love of music and singing infuses all other areas of my life. At any rate, it gets one thinking… :-)

      • Kathy says:

Thanks for replying! (: I have one more question..Is there any way to attract ONLY pixies? im actually scared of connecting with other kinds of fairies because im afraid of the evil ones and i know pixies are fine… so is there a way to only attract them?

i’m pretty sure that when i was about 4 i saw faries but how do i know it was’nt a dream my story is that this night i was in my bedroom and it was dark outside (early hours) just the moon light lite my room i had woken up and was sitting with my back to the wall staring at my bedroom door because i could see a wolf staring at me and i was frozen with fear ,but looking back i now relise it was just the grain in the wood and the way the light hit it ,but i was very scared at the time ,i had a very big old fashioned oak warddrobe which never closed properly and something caught my eye so i looked and it was small faries about 10 or so all small they were dancing around on the dressing table but 1 came to me it sat on my hand and i talked to it for ages i wish so hard i could remember all of what we said but this was 30 years ago now but i do remember it telling me not to be scared of the wolf which i had told it about and her saying that it would be gone soon and she would talk to me until it did ,we did talk until dawn and then all the other faries went back in to the wardrobe and she told me that she had to go now and the wolf had gone (as it was lighter so i could no longer see the shadow)and i had better get some sleep which i did after she had returned to the wardrobe . i wished so many more times to see them i asked them to come out on other nights but it never happened again ,the thing is there clothes were so bright that i remember the vived colours so clearly to this day even tho my room was so dark i remember that more than her face, and feel that it was such a long night that it could not have been a dream some one tell me if it could be something else

  46. Tana says:

    Hello Serena,

Fairies will only come to you if they trust you and theres no way to convince them otherwise if your good or bad. Once they trust you they will come. Why dont you ever try sitting outside and listening to the sounds of nature. Opening yourself up to explore the world of the fae is difficult, and if you do not want to do this you should try leaving out the things under a full moon when magick is its strongest. But please, do not be discouraged, fairies are always around us its just most of us cannot see them because we havent gained their trust.

Dara-Um, I believe “Jinn” translated into english from arabic means “Genie.” You may not consider them demons but thats what it basically means in english. In arabic I know Jinn are associated with angels so i’m thinking the “angel” and “fairy” term have gotten mixed up. Oh, then there is the possibility that in several cultures they consider fairies fallen angels.

  48. Nin says:

I’ve encountered what I think have been fae before. Something I’ve learned about them is that they like to take what we’ve become familiar with and then manipulate it so it’s just a bit…off.
Recently I was browsing craigslist, of all places, looking for a new bike when the screen just went all fuzzy and this ad popped up:
    http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/stp/2774516206.html
If you don’t want to click through, fair enough, but it essentially takes the approach from an actual non-human looking for a human friend. Not partner, just friend. I normally would write this off as some kind of nutjob but the past encounters I’ve had with fae make this seem in character.

  49. Cass says:

When I saw something I assume was a faery I was walking down a large hill to a class at a separate school building. A creature about an inch tall flew in front of me, hesitated, and went in a tree. It was mostly green with what looked like pale peach “legs” and about an inch 1/2 green colored wings. I researched all kinds of insects it could have been, and the only thing that came close was a Katydid if it were bent at all the wrong angles.
