It was claimed that these "dwens" were the souls of unsaved children who were left to wonder the earth. In Addition many hunters would claim seeing a half man - half goat in deeply forested areas and was believed to be a protector. He was referd to as "papa Bois". I must admit; alot of the people who shared these experiences with me have now deceased, alot of it still remains though sort of like and oral tradition. In the cities and towns most children have no knowledge of these creatures or any of the "folklore", however some of it still remains in the extremly rural communities. It really saddens me that alot of people have lost their connection to nature and as a result are more empty and depressed than ever before. I hope I've been helpful Shane...
